Atreus in God of War Laufey

Atreus, also known as Loki, is the son of Kratos and Laufey (Faye). Across the Norse games he grows from a sheltered kid into someone carrying Giant prophecy, his own will, and a future that no longer revolves entirely around Kratos.

In God of War Laufey, his role is still open. Whether he shows up through present-day story beats, memory, or parallel threads, he is too central to Faye's legacy to ignore.

Background

Atreus learning he was Loki in God of War (2018) reframed the entire Norse story. Ragnarök then pushed him toward his own path, away from home and toward the surviving Giants he hopes to find.

Connection to Faye

As Faye's son, Atreus carries both her bloodline and the unanswered parts of her story. He barely had time with her, but almost every major choice in his life still runs through the path she laid down.
